The Drivers
Amy Barker
I’m Amy Barker, 26, a graduate of the University of Bath and I work as a Cost and Pricing Engineer for Horstman Defence Systems Ltd. I’ve been racing in the Stock Hatch championship for the past 2 seasons in rented race cars but in 2008 I will be racing my own race prepared Citroen Saxo.
This is me receiving my award at the British Women Racing Drivers Club presentation ceremony for Best Newcomer 2006, from David Braham, ex-Formula 1 racing driver and son of World Champion Jack Braham.
Zoe Wenham
I’m Zoë Wenham, a pupil at Prince Henry’s High School in Evesham. I’ll be 14 in 2008 when I will be racing my Citroen Saxo in the Saxmax series for 14 to 17 year olds. I’m currently in my 6th season of kart racing, where I have been successful at club level, regularly in contention for championship honours. My driving was praised by Nigel Mansell whilst racing at his Devon ciruit, and I’m currently lying 3rd in the Shenington Kart Club championship.
